National Parks Traveler Review

Kurt Repanshek, editor of National Parks Traveler, just reviewed Birds of the West: An Artist’s Guide. I was really pleased that Kurt mentioned my previous title from Mountaineers Books, Colors of the West: An Artist’s Guide to Nature’s Palette, and explained that Birds of the West really builds on the first book. I thank Kurt for quoting the chapter on birds in art and illustration, and mentioning how important the appreciation of birds was to the development of science in the Renaissance.
